Yesterday I Thought I Was About to Witness Police Violence Against Black Girls.

Last night I watched a white male officer aggressively confront a group of teenage Black girls because he didn't like something one of them said to him. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed.

Last night as my wife and I were en route to an NBA G-League basketball game, I thought that we were going to potentially witness an act of police brutality against a group of teenage Black girls.

Here’s a story about an interaction that was unfolding in front of my eyes that felt familiar to other stories I’ve read that ended in Black children losing their lives at the hands of law enforcement.
