On the Movement of Black Folks Resisting the Urge to Resist

Since the start of the 2nd Trump administration, many Black folks have taken up the mantra of "that's their business." But what is the potential cost of us completely disengaging in resistance?

In the months since Donald Trump has returned to the White House, firing off a bevy of repressive executive orders and enabling Elon Musk to make the federal government his pet project, many Black influencers and everyday folks alike have taken the position of rest. Be it the Trump administration’s order to decimate the former Black Lives Matter Plaza in DC, his plans to completely occupy Palestine, or several other edicts that on the surface do not come across as affecting Black folks specifically, the call coming from inside the house that many Black folks are echoing is one of standing back and not standing by.
